Diana Vreeland and Sarah Jessica Parker

Vivacious fashion editor of Harper’s Bazaar, editor-in-chief of Vogue and Curator at the Costume Institute, Diana Vreeland is often referred to as the Empress of Fashion. Vreeland’s impact on the fashion industry is immeasurable, responsible for the bikini’s first appearance in a fashion editorial, photographed Toni Frissell, and for the careers of many fashion industry notables including model turned actress, Lauren Bacall. To celebrate the career of Mrs. Vreeland, Sarah Jessica Parker played the lively fashion editor in the editorial, “Why Don’t You…” by Peter Lindbergh in the March, 2009 issue of Harper’s Bazaar.
