Eric Boman and Robbie FimmanoSwedish-born photographer and author Eric Boman is most known for his books on Manolo Blahnik and Iris Apfel, however, before Boman became a published author, his editorials filled the pages of international editions of Vogue throughout the 70s, 80s and 90s. Today, Boman continues to photograph for Vogue, focusing on society portraiture. In Vogue UK’s May 1974 issue, Boman photographed model Pia Frithiof dressed in bathing suits while soaking in a bathtub of colored water. For Interview Magazine’s June/July 2013 issue, photographer Robbie Fimmano seemingly looked to Boman’s 1974 editorial, photographing model Frida Gustavsson in a variety of one-piece bathing suits similarly positioned in a bathtub.
